Addendum: Tarry Together

Time is an abstract concept. While humans are governed by it—through our expectations, calculations, and demands—in the vastness of the expanse, time does not exist. We plan, and as they say, God laughs: that is The Great Comedy. In August, I underwent urgent surgery, and then another procedure to correct some complications from my surgery (neither of which were in my schedule). As a result, I withdrew from my master’s program—you’ve just got to laugh.

I’ve grieved and rested. I'm currently re-applying to the Master of Arts in Oral History, and I've been overwhelmed by the support of faculty members, my family, friends, and mentors. Ultimately, we may have planned…but God also planned.
